INFORMATION SHEET FOR TRAVELLERS
PACKAGE TRAVEL PURSUANT TO SECTION 651A OF THE GERMAN CIVIL CODE

The combination of travel services offered to you constitutes a package travel arrangement within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302.
Therefore, you can avail yourself of all EU rights that apply to package travel. The company GBTSPORTS, GBT Deutschland GmbH, Gustav-Heinemann-Straße 1–3, D-51373 Leverkusen bears full responsibility for the proper performance of the entire package travel arrangement.
In addition, GBTSPORTS, GBT Deutschland GmbH has the legally required protection in place for the refund of your payments and, where transport is included in the package travel arrangement, to ensure your repatriation in the event of its insolvency.

Key rights under Directive (EU) 2015/2302

– Travellers will receive all essential information about the package travel before concluding the package travel contract.
– At least one trader is always liable for the proper performance of all travel services included in the contract.
– Travellers will receive an emergency telephone number or details of a contact point through which they can contact the organiser or the travel agent.
– Travellers may transfer the package travel to another person within a reasonable period and, under certain circumstances, subject to additional costs.
– The price of the package travel may only be increased if specific costs (for example, fuel prices) increase and if this is expressly provided for in the contract, and in any case no later than 20 days before the start of the package travel. If the price increase exceeds 8% of the package travel price, the traveller may withdraw from the contract. If the organiser reserves the right to a price increase, the traveller has the right to a price reduction if the relevant costs decrease.
– Travellers may withdraw from the contract without paying a cancellation fee and receive a full refund of all payments if one of the essential elements of the package travel, other than the price, is significantly changed. If the trader responsible for the package travel cancels the package travel before the start of the package travel, travellers are entitled to a refund and, in certain circumstances, to compensation.
– Travellers may withdraw from the contract without paying a cancellation fee before the start of the package travel in the event of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances, for example if there are serious security problems at the destination which are likely to affect the package travel.
– Travellers may also withdraw from the contract at any time before the start of the package travel against payment of an appropriate and justifiable cancellation fee.
– If, after the start of the package travel, significant elements of the package travel cannot be performed as agreed, appropriate alternative arrangements must be offered to the traveller at no extra cost. The traveller may withdraw from the contract without paying a cancellation fee (in the Federal Republic of Germany this right is referred to as “termination”) if services are not performed in accordance with the contract and this has a significant impact on the performance of the contractual package travel services and the organiser fails to remedy the situation.
– Travellers are entitled to a price reduction and/or compensation for damages if the travel services are not performed or are not properly performed.
– The organiser shall provide assistance to the traveller if the traveller is in difficulty.
– In the event of the insolvency of the organiser or – in certain Member States – of the travel agent, payments will be refunded. If the insolvency of the organiser or, where applicable, of the travel agent occurs after the start of the package travel and transport is included in the package travel, the repatriation of the travellers is guaranteed.
